This set of eight delightful plates was created by the British pottery company, Grindley, founded in the late 1800s. This particular pattern, Royal Petal, has an overall floral design in pinks, lilacs and yellows on a soft white base with scalloped gold edges.
The size measures just over 6" making them the ideal bread and butter, dessert or appetizer plate. The rich colors of the florals can be accented with a variety of table decor choices including greens, pinks or shades of brown.
These beautiful pieces were made in the early 1950's and are in excellent shape except for a slight wear area on the bottom of two plates.
